LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION
Reviewed onReading the below reviews have made me feel like a lot of people have stopped taking their meds Listen ppl you can try and call our building liberty village all you want but it isn't Out building is located between Parkdale and Liberty Village I think the building is ok Sure we have been having issues with the elevators but that happens everywhere People just need to learn how to relax and understand that you get what you paid for The building is in a great location close to the CNE TTC GO TRANSIT MALLS DOWNTOWN CORE and great little shops and restaurants For being so central to some pretty great locations the price is awesome

Issues
Reviewed onUrbancorp is almost finally all gone So all the perceived issues related to them should in theory be addressed soon A quick google and you can see their business practices and judge for yourself The monopoly of Tarion in Ontario and their executive bonuses can be easily searched as well I leave you to formulate your own opinion on these entities We had a break in in the parking garage P 2 level Notices were put up suggesting the blame was on residents for not locking the doors properly Asked at the general meeting what the protocols are for security the condo was informed their security sweeps are supposed to be completed every hour including checking the doors This is on their check list The building manager then confirmed this was not happening and that it happened maybe three or four times a shift due to how busy the security was A resident then on record noted they often saw security taking extended breaks in the park adjacent to our building One of the elevators has been broken for about two weeks and counting Elevators often go out of service in the building This is all being documented with gps time stamped photos and video

RENT DON'T BUY
Reviewed onI owned a unit here and thankfully sold it this year before sinking more money into this building I like a lot of young buyers was looking for an affordable place to purchase and bought a 1 bedroom which at the time was ample space for a bachelor like me Fast forward a fiance and dog later and then suddenly we were a family of 3 Space was cramped and condo living didn't suit us any longer We were both at home a lot I work on contract and with our dog we just weren't happy with the amount of space we had and city living wasn't our lifestyle anymore We are country people at heart and craved a big backyard and garden If you're looking to buy a this condo as an investment you need to look into your overall lifestyle are you happy in a busy city how loud it is gets during CNE Caribana etc Don't just look at the numbers That's why I recommend renting here first to see if this is the life you want Are you bothered by loud neighbors reality condo walls are thin deal with it Are you okay with using elevators that always break down Does the air show bother you we have a dog so a big YES for us You can't be a control freak living here and will become miserable Condo living is for the tolerant or the busy who never live at home Take this building for a spin for a year or two then if you really like it get a better condo in south Liberty Village

QUIET CLEAN AND FRIENDLY
Reviewed onI m not sure what's going on with all the drama recently but I can say that this building is awesome Being a renter I ve been treated no different than the owners in the building To the other renters if you have maintenance issues its up to your landlord the owner to fix them Management usually tries their best to help you as much as possible but some things have to be done by the landlord I have lived in both apartment buildings and condos and I can say that it doesn't matter where you live or how much you pay or what class of neighbourhood your in you always have to deal with tenants that are less than pleasant to deal with I have had my fair share of problem neighbours I love that in this building there's so many families and people with dogs and its great that we're on the line between Liberty Village and Queen West It is also great that there are so many option for TTC Dufferin Bus Queen Streetcar King Streetcar Management staff have been helpful and friendly with me all times I have interacted with them I have read reviews and it would seem that there used to be a different property management on site before and that's were most of the horrendous stories are coming from It seems that since Goldview has taken over things have improved more than 100 I hope one day to purchase a condo and I would look buy here I just hope that everyone else can see what a great little community we have in this building and lets not let a few bad apples spoil the bunch

Owner 38 Joe Shuster Way Since Beginning PART 2
Reviewed onI appreciate that I m kept up to date with friendly and humorous notices on the status of repairs etc in the building Personally I have been in numerous buildings where the notices are posted in a variety of ways As long as I get the information I need that's all that I really care about Thin walls go hand in hand with today's building standards the need for cheap and fast places for people to live and community living Those choosing in a condo life must be flexible to understand the needs of those living around them and also be aware that they can be heard as well Condo living is NOT for everyone I am also very much aware that a lot of condos are used as investment properties and some of these Owner's do not care about who they rent to except that they collect a monthly cheque Repairs to units are kept minimal Many people renting in condos the frequent move in and out are the reasons for much of the damage and problems done to buildings In fact some people should not have been rented to in the first place Many tenants move into cheaper buildings expecting far too much for their dollar remember you get what you pay for 38 Joe Shuster Way is great value considering the staff and services and luxury to live so close to the downtown core My suggestion to anyone not happy living anywhere is that the good news is that there are thousands of other buildings in the GTA to choose from
