I have lived here for 2 years now and I agree that the building atmosphere is uptight and many residents mainly the older ones are whiny nitpicky and unfriendly I dread any dealings with the Strata I wish I had read the above review before purchasing it easily could be deemed as a 55 building I am nowhere near 55 That said the building is more or less well maintained and the location is fantastic with the various ammenities within walking distance But if I could go back in time and know what I know now I would not purchase here again A note of interest my unit faces into the courtyard and sound travels very easily conversations on decks or in units with windows open can easily be heard

This is from an old persons 55 yrs old perspective I am very happy in this building I think the neighbours are great Walking distance to shops As for some of the comments rules are made for a reason We wait for the Gate to close so unwanted visitors don't follow Other buildings utilize parking passes as well There is always going to be at least one person that will think it is there right to park there every night It is not fair to those of us that had to buy an extra spot OR those that do park on the street As for the too loud comments When you live in a building with shared common space it can be startling when you have a neighbour that slams their doors hard enough to feel it It should not be necessary to talk loud enough to be heard several doors down the hall This is OUR HOME We respect each others privacy quiet enjoyment

I lived here for 5 years and hated it from the very first day when someone yelled at me for not waiting for the parking gate to close completely before entering the garage This building should have been designated as 55 as most of the people are old and absolutely miserable There are always nit picky signs being posted around the building don't slam the door so loud don't walk down the stairs so loud don't talk in the hallways so loud don't leave your bike in the storage area without a special tag etc The worst is the strata patrols of the visitor parking garage The visitor parking is very spacious it is rarely even 1 4 full But there is a parking committee who patrol to make sure that residents don't park there They then made a rule that visitors had to have a parking pass displayed on their dashboard and every unit got 2 I can understand such rules if there were only 1 or 2 spots but there are lots What's the big deal if a resident parks an additional car there occassionally It comes down to old miserable people with nothing better to do with their time There is one lady T G who makes it her business to go to every open house of units for sale to inspect It's really too bad that residents have ruined this building I really enjoyed my unit although they won't allow laminate flooring I just dreaded going in and out everyday and that's no way to live This is an extremely stuck up controlling and non friendly building
