One morning on my way to work at 4 40 am the elevator came to a sudden stop on the 5th floor Stuck Pushed the help button and spoke to someone 25 minutes later the concierge knocked on the elevator door They contacted the elevator company and would be there within the hour I said why not call the fire department nearby to get me out he said they dont come for people stuck in elevators The concierge also told me that they would check on me later At approx 6 10 am I heard noises and a hand prying the door open it was the elevator repair guy During the time from 5 05 am to 6 10 am noone checked in on me I emailed condo management asking why it takes 1 1 2 hrs to get someone out of an elevator I could have been leaving because of an emergency I also asked them for an hour of lost wages as I was late for work She was not empathetic did not apologize and said she would get back to me shortly 10 days later I still no response so I emailed her Within an hour I had a response The condo board said I was not entitled to an hour of wages and an hour was a normal time frame to get someone out I was in there for 1 1 2 hrs No apology No sense of concern I find a luxury condominium complex such as this should have A better sensitivity and B implement a better solution I have claustrophobia but someone may have it worse I don't wish getting stuck in an elevator to anyone it's not a good feeling tks
